We are on the lookout for a National Business Manager/Commercial Development Manager to join our small and dynamic team. This pivotal role will see you spearheading the growth of profitable sales across key accounts and fostering strong principal relationships. Your expertise in FMCG, coupled with exceptional negotiation and leadership skills, will be vital to your success in this position.In this role, you will take the helm in managing national accounts. You will develop and implement annual account plans and promotional strategies, while also supporting the General Manager in negotiations and category review presentations. Your ability to create and drive compelling commercial proposals will be crucial as you seek out new business opportunities, including expanding existing customer accounts with new brands and exploring new customers and channels.Your role will also involve meticulous forecasting to ensure stock availability and forecast accuracy for nominated accounts. You'll be responsible for monitoring monthly forecasts, assessing risks, and identifying opportunities. On the leadership front, you will engage in continuous professional development to enhance your skills and guide your direct reports towards achieving their potential.The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in FMCG Key Account roles, ideally at the National Business Manager or National Sales Manager level. Foodservice and OOH experience is also essential. A strong background in FMCG category management and finance is preferred, along with experience within an agency or a small NZ business. You should possess excellent presentation and negotiating skills, a deep commercial acumen, and the ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
