About the Role As the Commercial Development Manager, you will play a key role in driving ABEX's ongoing success. Your focus will be on strengthening business operations, driving revenue growth, and delivering memorable experiences for our manuhiri.
Key Responsibilities Provide insightful analysis of business performance and identify actions to achieve strategic goals.Collaborate with finance teams to improve forecasting and streamline processes.Develop financial models to support investment decisions and resource allocation.Monitor revenue progress and ensure business efficiency through regular reviews of costs and structures.Business Development:
Support the creation and execution of strategic and annual sales plans.Identify new business opportunities through market research and networking.Develop innovative event and retail offerings to grow revenue and enhance visitor experiences.Foster a high-performance sales culture and motivate the team to exceed KPIs.Governance Support:
Provide quality advice and information to the Executive and Governance Board.Build effective relationships with key stakeholders to ensure strong governance outcomes.Cultural Confidence:
Actively participate in cultural development activities to enhance your understanding of Ngai Tahu tikanga and te reo Maori.Support a bicultural workplace that honors Te Tiriti o Waitangi.Contribute to a safe and inclusive environment where colleagues feel empowered to grow their cultural knowledge.Health & Safety:

5+ years of post-tertiary professional experience.Strong corporate and strategic background, with business writing skills at executive and board level.Advanced Excel skills, with experience in Google Docs and Power BI advantageous.Familiarity with the tourism industry and a proven ability to create and grow new services.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.Attributes and Competencies
