Commercial Cleaner

We're representing our client based in Timaru who is in need of dynamic, dependable, trustworthy, and diligent commercial cleaners to join their team. This role requires covering the Timaru, Oamaru, and Geraldine areas and offers permanent full-time positions for the long haul. Flexibility is key as the schedule includes weekends.  The schedule entails various shifts throughout the week, with guaranteed minimum hours of 30 weekly: - Monday: 8:30 am - 10:00 am and 11:00 pm - 3:00 am (both sites in Timaru) - Wednesday: 10:00 pm - 2:00 am (Timaru site) and 4:00 am - 6:00 am (Oamaru site) - Thursday: 10:00 pm - 2:00 am (Timaru site) and 4:00 am - 5:30 am (Oamaru site) - Friday: 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm (Geraldine site), 10:00 pm - 2:00 am (Timaru site), and 4:00 am - 5:30 am (Oamaru site) - Saturday: 9:00 pm - 1:00 am (Timaru site) and 3:30 am - 5:00 am (Oamaru site) - Sunday: 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm (Geraldine site) Further details will be discussed during interviews. Immediate start. Key Responsibilities: - Cleaning various spaces including offices, toilets, windows, houses, and carpets. - Disinfecting fixtures, replenishing supplies, and reporting any health and safety issues. - Removing residues from machines, stripping and polishing floors, and handling other cleaning tasks. - Disposing of rubbish, maintaining cleanliness of furniture and equipment. - Operating vacuum cleaners and mops, applying cleaning agents, and ensuring physical fitness and appearance. - Other responsibilities include punctuality, reliability, covering staff leaves, equipment maintenance, and supply management. Previous cleaning experience is not mandatory as comprehensive training will be provided. However, a full clean driver's license is required due to travel involved, and a company vehicle will be provided. Applicants should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
