JRI Limited is a locally owned Insurance Brokerage specialising in all lines of Fire & General insurance. Our Head Office is in New Plymouth, we have an office in Christchurch, and our client base is Nationwide. We are seeking an experienced Commercial Broker to join our team. You must be self-motivated and have strong business development skills and business acumen to be successful in this role as well as being a team player.The primary purpose of this position is to manage new and existing clients and proactively assess their insurance needs to be able to provide solutions, whilst building rapport and managing on-going relationships with those clients. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Gathering information from clients and assessing their insurance needs and risk profiles and providing solutions.Building and maintaining on-going relationships with clients, insurers, risk advisors and other professionals.Work to grow your portfolio.Researching insurance companies' policies and negotiating with insurers. Keep detailed records and correspondence.Keep up with changes in the insurance market and in the client's industry/field.Work to compliance requirements of the business.To be successful in this role, it is expected you will have prior experience as a Commercial Broker. Additionally you will need to hold a current Level 5 Certificate in Financial Services. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic self-starter, they will have an excellent understanding of sales and business development, whilst being client focused. We are looking for an excellent communicator, an intuitive problem solver, a highly motivated and confident team player, and someone who is driven to forge a long term career in the insurance industry.Remuneration will be commensurate with experience, qualification, and what you can add to the already thriving business of JRI Limited.
