Commercial Analyst – Fixed Term
JOB DESCRIPTION
This position description provides an indicative outline of the purpose and key responsibilities and tasks of the role.
Title and Reporting Relationships
Position title: Commercial Analyst
Reporting to: Project Manager – Inventory Management Strategic Project
Location: Auckland
Purpose of the Role
An important strategic project has been initiated at ETEL focused on the inventory management systems of the business from demand forecasting through to dispatch. The project aims to understand current systems and to develop them to a world-class state that enhances efficiency and optimizes stock levels. The project is expected to last between 1 and 2 years. As a member of the Inventory Management strategic project team, this role takes an active part in the evaluation and improvements of inventory systems.

Epicor

Accountabilities
Inventory Management Strategic Project

Create KPI reporting for the project and regularly update the team on progress.
Work with sales staff to improve sales forecast accuracy.
Work with the project team and others to review and implement improved systems around inventory management.
Work with operations and supply chain to optimize EPICOR bills of materials and minimize variances.
Analyze inventory systems to accurately report forecast inventory levels and the cash flow requirements.
Analyze stock variances and MRP suggestions to improve the systems.
Identify appropriate internal controls around inventory and ensure they are implemented.
Document systems.
Analyze inventory levels to minimize levels with stakeholders.
Conduct inventory reconciliations.
Assist in making stock counting as accurate as possible.
Understand the new version of EPICOR called Kinetic and work with the project team to realize its benefits.

Administration and Support within the Finance Team

Assist with documentation of finance procedures.
Cross-train with other functions within finance to enable coverage during periods of leave.
Other tasks as required.
