The Commercial Analyst is a member of the Commercial team, reporting to the General Manager, Commercial.
The commercial team is the key voice of the customer within the port, working to improve our solutions, processes, and systems to enhance the overall customer experience and drive prosperity across the region.
The Commercial Analyst is responsible for analysing and reporting Commercial business intelligence combined with supporting the Commercial team's core functions which include reporting, administration, analytics, customer support, contract development, and supply chain process.
Key priorities for the role include:
Undertaking commercially driven analysis of business and customer activity
Implementing, developing, and maintaining robust business intelligence reporting to measure commercial and customer performance
Supporting existing customers and contributing to improving customer value
Supporting Finance Team reporting in trade volume budgeting, reforecasting, and reporting processes
Assisting the Commercial Team in the development of supply chain solutions
Supporting Commercial projects, opportunities, and day-to-day activities
Collaborating across various business functions to support and improve Port initiatives
Supporting continuous process improvement and compliance
Participating in industry forums, building strong networks and professional relationships
Championing an engaged agile culture that supports a Just Safety culture
Successful candidates will have a relevant tertiary/supply chain qualification, with experience in logistics, and will be proficient in business intelligence tools such as Microsoft Power BI.
They will also be a quick learner, able to multitask, and have excellent communication and relationship skills.
