As a Commercial Analyst, you'll be helping to fuel our commercial success and captivate our fans.This is a unique opportunity for someone to work in a high-performance environment in elite-level sport playing a crucial role within the commercial team and influencing the commercial strategy, whilst managing and delivering high-impact projects to execute the agreed strategy.About the Role:Working across both our Partnerships and our Commercial Development Teams, this role plays a critical part in ensuring data is driving rugby's commercial decision making.Support the strategic development of rugby's commercial business, including sponsorships, strategic partnerships, business development, merchandise & licensing, e-commerce & retail, with a focus on delivering value to both existing and potential partners.Collaborate closely with the Head of Partnerships and Partnership Managers to coordinate and conduct strategic evaluations of partnership opportunities, ensuring alignment with the values and objectives of both rugby and its partners.Conduct analysis and ideation to identify and develop new partnership opportunities that align with long-term goals and foster strong, mutually beneficial relationships with partners.Monitor and report on global business trends and developments within the partner network, providing insights into how these trends may impact rugby and enhance the value of existing partnerships.Support the early stages of partnership development by conducting research on potential partners, ensuring strategic alignment, and identifying key opportunities to build sustainable, value-driven relationships.Work with the Head of Partnerships and Partnership Managers to develop materials and reports that effectively communicate the ongoing value and impact of partnerships, ensuring clarity around the benefits and contributions of each relationship.Analyse internal and external research to identify key insights, opportunities, and recommendations for strengthening partnerships and enhancing long-term value for both rugby and its partners.We can confidently say that no two days in this role will be the same!About You:We are looking for someone who loves using data to tell stories with a proven history of building compelling cases for both internal and external stakeholders.You will have experience working in strategy, management consulting or investment banking, advising corporates across industries such as sports, media, and technology on key strategic initiatives.Known for your critical thinking and relationship building, you will be confident working both independently and as part of high functioning teams.You are competent in strategic thinking and are experienced in strategy development and financial modelling.With you, you bring experience in analysing data to draw business-relevant conclusions, creating clear reports and recommendations on your findings, and any experience you have in sport research or sponsorship/partnerships would be an advantage.Having knowledge or a passion for rugby and sport would be a plus too!
