About The Role
In this key role, you will take ownership of pricing and procurement processes, ensuring they run seamlessly while safeguarding the financial viability of all projects. Acting as a vital link between finance, operations and bid team, you will provide timely, accurate pricing insights that align with market trends, contractual commitments, and long-term financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert commercial and financial modelling to support strategic initiatives, including pricing and the development of a 5-year forecast model.
Develop and refine pricing strategies to maintain competitiveness and financial viability.
Collaborate with the finance, operations and bid team to prepare precise and compelling financial aspects of tenders.
Identify and respond to market price fluctuations, adjusting pricing models accordingly.
Maintain and optimise a dynamic rates library to streamline pricing processes and improve accuracy.
Ensure all pricing models and rates align with contractual obligations and are updated to reflect market changes.
Regularly report on pricing and financial performance to stakeholders, ensuring data is accurate, actionable, and aligned with business goals.
Work closely with internal teams to ensure pricing strategies are fully integrated with operational objectives.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for an experiencedCommercial Analystwith a minimum of two years' pricing experience in a similar-sized company. This role demands technical expertise, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
Key skills and attributes:
Strong experience in commercial and financial modelling, with a focus on pricing, forecasting, and financial strategy.
Proficiency with estimating software and systems to deliver efficient and reliable results.
Advanced skills in Excel and pricing software, with the ability to manage large datasets and complex pricing structures.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
Strong communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
A results-driven mindset with the ability to meet deadlines and adapt to market changes.
A relevant qualification in accounting, finance, or economics.
