We are looking for an exceptional Commercial Analyst to join our Commercial Finance & Planning team. In this role, you will provide excellent reporting, insights, and analysis across the whole business as well as the Commercial Finance and Planning team.
Your key responsibilities include:
Subject matter expert on TVNZ's commercial performance drivers, responsible for timely and accurate reporting of Key Performance Indicators to support the Commercial Finance team and the business portfolios, including all revenue streams, content yield, and operating expenses.
Support the planning and forecast process by providing robust, forward-looking analysis that supports commercial strategy and decision making across business areas.
Support month-end variance analysis and the delivery of meaningful commentary to enable corrective actions in future periods.
Deliver timely and accurate market insights and analysis relative to TVNZ's performance at a micro and macro level.
Support development of clear, concise, and visually appealing dashboards and an excellent suite of reports to communicate insights effectively into Finance and to the business areas.
Support the Business Partnering team with day-to-day tasks.
Analysis, management, and reconciliation of the data flows between TVNZ systems to ensure data accuracy.
This is a 6-month fixed term contract.
To be successful in this role, we are looking for:
Degree qualified, certified accountant or relevant experience.
Strong commercial acumen with a curious mindset.
A results-focused attitude with high attention to detail.
Always questioning how things are done to drive continuous improvements with an innovative mindset.
Experience using business insight tools such as Power BI, Business Objects and advanced Excel skills, and financial modelling experience.
Strong communication skills, both with finance and non-finance stakeholders.
Continuously look for ways to lift performance and add value and improve processes.
Strong relationship management skills, able to work with other members of the team and other business areas to achieve outcomes.
