A day in the life of...
Lead financial co-pilot to the NZ Commercial Manager and team of the Nestle Professional business unit, providing key analysis to enhance strategic decision making.
Analyse and challenge product portfolio to identify cost optimisation opportunities, eliminate value destroyers and maximise the return on investment from Trade Spend and Advertising and Marketing spend (including revised pricing structure/prices). Attend and actively participate in commercial business unit meetings.
Provide the primary financial support and challenge in regard to the New Product Development Innovation and Renovation (I2R) process.
Analyse and refine cost allocations by business channel to facilitate resource allocations and business decisions at a channel level.
Act as a custodian of Internal Controls and Finance & Control (F&C) Policies/Guidelines - complete Audit Self Assessments.
Assist Divisional Financial Controller in strategy formulation and communication.
Key player in Monthly Business Planning (MBP) process - specifically leading the preparation and discussion of the Commercial Review Meetings.
Co-ordinate and participate in Market Business Strategy (MBS).
Build, challenge, and align allocation of financial resources for the monthly Dynamic Forecast (DF) against Market Business Strategy (MBS) and Targets.
Promote understanding of the business drivers using KPIs and comparative benchmarking.
Promote thorough understanding of cost structures/drivers and create visibility and coherent common cost transparency within the business.
Support understanding and identification of KPIs achievement/gaps versus plans.
Establish and promote clear accountabilities around target achievements and KPI delivery and performance.
What will make you successful
At least 5+ years’ work experience and understanding of a number of key financial areas, including Factory Accounting, Costing, Sales Finance, Distribution / Supply Chain and Commercial Finance Support.
CA/CPA qualification or equivalent is desirable.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to effectively manage internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
Understanding of FMCG industry; excellent Excel, SAP, Business Intelligence tools knowledge essential.
