About Us Waste Management Technical Services (TS) is a specialist division of highly qualified staff with purpose-built processing facilities processing medical, hazardous, and liquid wastes safely in full compliance. About the Role This role is based in East Tamaki supporting the divisional senior leadership management team. This role will require some travel, so exposure to local and regional business partnering is on offer including commercial projects. Job Description Partner with primary operating unit teams to prepare operating unit forecasts and budgets in alignment with divisional guidelines and timetables, incorporating appropriate challenge and analysis Work closely as an integrated part of the management team to provide guidance and analysis on strategic growth opportunities and operational efficiencies Analyse and review costs structure covering allocation, cost benefit, volume, profit, customer profitability and life cycle analysis Prepare customer, segment, service price modelling as required Drive formal business performance reviews Qualifications A minimum 5+ years' experience in a commercial or operational accountant role Advanced MS Excel/PBI, intermediate MS Office Academic background in chemistry (double major with finance is ideal) or passion/keen interest in chemistry CA/CPA Skills & Requirements: Ability to collect and analyse data from multiple sources and systems Ability to work both collaboratively in the commercial team, and autonomously Keen interest in learning new systems, processes, various business streams and operational accounting Strong commercial awareness and business acumen Ability to communicate complex financial information in a concise, non-technical manner Curious and scientifically minded Critical thinking Additional Information What's in it for You?
