At PNCC our Collections Operators safely and efficiently drive our collections trucks to collect a variety of products like rubbish bags, glass recyclables, and recycling bins. You will be working in a supportive, team-based environment.
Working Monday to Friday with an early start and finish means you're home for dinner every night and your weekends are free!
In this role your focus will be:
Collecting rubbish, glass recyclables, and other recycling in accordance with Palmerston North City Council's rubbish and recycling collections service specifications.Clean and maintain vehicle interior/exterior daily, to improve vehicle longevity and to help reduce client costs.Report vehicle faults to the Collections Team Leader in a timely manner to ensure vehicles are maintained and fit for purpose.Your can-do attitude, sound driving skills, and commitment to safety puts you in good stead to become a valuable member of the team. In this role, it's essential that you have a Class 2 licence and a good level of fitness. A working knowledge of Palmy's streets will also help you succeed.
In addition, you will have:
