Fresh Meats NZ is part of the Integrated Foods Group who are a food processing and agribusiness with large scale farming in Gisborne.
Fresh Meats NZ has an alternate day processing schedule, primary processing (Slaughter) one day and secondary processing (Boning) the next, every day is different and allows you to get experience in both areas of the process.
We are looking for a Coldstore Team Leader, who will oversee the daily operations of our coldstore facility, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for managing a team, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. It would be preferable to have someone with previous Triton expertise, but it is not required.
As a Coldstore Team Leader your responsibilities are to:
Lead, motivate, and manage a small team of coldstore operators (2) to achieve operational goals.
Oversee the daily operations of the coldstore, including the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely stock management.
Implement and enforce safety and hygiene standards in accordance with company policies and industry regulations.
Address and resolve any issues or concerns related to coldstore operations.
Provide training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and performance.
Prepare and present reports on operational performance, inventory levels, and other relevant metrics to senior management.
