Our client:
Work for Queenstown's undoubtedly most iconic hospitality groups in a newly created role of Venue Manager for their latest venture.
This intimate offering is all about providing excellent, efficient service through knowledgeable and fun staff, a 43x seater bar that offers delicious sharing plates to enjoy over a delicious cocktail.
The role:
Is critical to the establishment's success, you will lead the Bar (FOH) team of about 8-10x people including two experienced Bar Managers through inspiring and effective leadership. You will be motivated to train, develop and upskill your team to ensure service expectations are always being met, along with auditing compliance, stock take and management and working through any HR issues that arise including recruitment, training & performance management.
You can also expect to work collaboratively with the BOH team specifically the Executive chef to ensure the cocktails and drinks menu pair well with the menu offering.
What we are looking for:
Experienced Venue Manager ideally within a sophisticated bar environment with demonstrated tenure & loyalty to employers
Experience working in intimate, service focussed hospitality environments in NZ
A deep passion and understanding of all things alcohol & cocktails
Qualifications including LCQ and ideally Duty Managers certificate
Experience leading & developing teams
Comprehensive financial acumen
Commitment to relocating / living in Queenstown
What you can expect from the role:

$80-100k per annum (dependant on experience)
40-45x hours per week which will include both weekends days (RDOs will be weekdays)
