Job DescriptionOur Ambassador will be :Responsible for developing new business opportunities for both Sofitel Wellington and Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour through business development practices with a focus on proactive sales initiatives while building and maintaining account relationships.Build and maximize existing client / business relationships to create a strong return client / business base. Identify revenue opportunities and undertake direct sales activity to convert businessMaintains Health and safety standards in the hotel including the safe operation of Ambassadors, contractors and volunteers.A strong communicator, who is highly organised, motivating and empowering who inspires their team to produce a luxury standard of serviceWorking alongside a team of experienced leaders to ensure the Hotel runs smoothly.Business DevelopmentConduct pro-active sales activity by proactively hunting to secure new business opportunities for both hotels across all market segments. (Rooms, C&E, F&B)Increase the level of business mix from individual accounts by maximizing on every opportunity across every layer, within all markets.Maximize leads & opportunities for C&E, corporate, association, and government business and ensure high conversion levels.Research and define new revenue generation in niche markets and opportunities.Sales ManagementManage a portfolio of multiple account relationships and stakeholder accounts to leverage and maximize revenue opportunity.Prepare and execute creative sales strategies and activity plan to drive sales.Represent the hotels at trade shows, seminars and promotional activities / events as required.Represent the hotels at industry networking events and at dedicated sales missions.Organise and host on-site client entertainment, site inspections and familiarization visits.Maintain and grow relationships with return C&E clients and account manage supporting corporate account stakeholders.Manage corporate RFP submissions for both hotels and ensure all RFP submissions across all channels are submitted in a detailed and timely manner.MarketingCo-ordination and production of conference and incentive collateral material, ie, conference kits, direct mail pieces, etc.Initiate C&E focussed promotions to drive business through low demand periods.Participation in promotional and joint venture opportunities in conjunction with other Accor & Luxury and Lifestyle Sales and Marketing.Adherence to Emergency Communication procedures ensuring that enquiries from the media are only responded to by the nominated spokesperson.QualificationsExperience in a leadership role within a Hotel and collaborating with business stakeholdersMinimum 1 -3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably including 5 star experience.An excellent understanding of C&E sales and corporate sales / account management.An understanding of luxury guest expectations and desire to meet these expectations.Good understanding of Microsoft Office applicationsProjects professional image at all times through personal presentation / interpersonal skills.Maintains awareness of industry trends in service, product and presentation.Initiates contacts and establishes rapport easily.Organises time and work efficiently.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, English essentialStrategic thinker with ability to predict future needsHours worked according to the demands of the business and as per employment agreement.Additional InformationLearn your Way - Access to our Accor Academy so you can Earn while you Learn!Work Your Way - Flexibility to ensure a work life balance!Benefits Your Way - Incredible Accor Heartist Benefits - discounted Food & Beverage + Accommodation WorldwideComplimentary Meals on shiftAccor's Parental Leave SchemeAccess to our Employee Assistance Program#J-18808-Ljbffr
