The Cloud Platform Engineer role is designed to ensure that TVNZ's hybrid and cloud Infrastructure technologies are designed, built, and maintained to a high standard, and that they support the organisation in achieving its targeted business and financial performance outcomes. All services delivered should be aligned to customer expectations, and regularly reviewed for areas of improvement.
In this role, you will play a key role in the multidisciplinary Infrastructure, Cloud & Security team which supports all aspects of TVNZ's Infrastructure, Networks and Security. You will use your experience and expertise to support project and operations teams on all Infrastructure matters and ensure the ongoing resilience, performance and availability of TVNZ's Infrastructure and systems, underpinning day to day business operations.
To be successful in this role, we are looking for:Strong experience in working in an IT Infrastructure Operations and Services Department with proven experience with 3rd level Infrastructure support and solution design.Experience in creating and developing new solution designs and documentation, leveraging appropriate infrastructure technologies to deliver business needs.Advanced skills and experience with a range of Infrastructure and DevOps technologies including:Working with Infrastructure as Code tools e.g. Terraform. Utilising Configuration Management tools e.g. Ansible or SCCM.Building, deploying, and maintaining CI/CD Pipelines with Orchestration tools e.g. Jenkins, Github Actions or Azure DevOps.Design, build and support Public Cloud (Azure, AWS), hybrid and on-premise Infrastructure solutions.Maintaining cloud access management and security using appropriately aligned Landing Zone frameworks and tools.The Microsoft stack including Windows server, AD and end user computing, VMware server virtualisation, Enterprise SAN and NAS storage administration, Linux, Powershell or Python scripting, load balancers, remote access solutions, server hardware and backup systems.Experience supporting enterprise-scale environments and platforms and have a broad understanding of the technology and services involved in the IT, Cloud and Broadcast industry.A good knowledge of technology processes e.g. change management, release management and how they are best applied for service and cost effectiveness.Strong Customer Service ethic and experience in processes and practices required to deliver to customer expectations.Able to provide afterhours stand-by technical support when required.Apply Now - applications close on Wednesday 18th December.
