Invercargill Hunting & Fishing are on the hunt for a superstar to run our clothing department!
This is a great opportunity for a vibrant and energetic individual who is self-motivated, organised, and has an eye for detail and merchandising.
Previous experience in a clothing retail environment with stock management experience is an advantage; however, training can be provided to someone who is able to pick things up quickly, has initiative, and works well unsupervised. Experience with Finance Now or Q Card would also be beneficial.
Our ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
Data-driven and have an understanding of merchandising and season trends
Work well in a team environment
Have a confident, friendly, and professional phone manner
High standard of personal presentation
Good computer skills including typing
Be punctual and reliable
Well organised, proactive, and able to forward plan
Can take instruction and constructive feedback
Switched on and responsible
It is expected that the successful candidate will attend staff meetings and in-store and out-of-store promotional evenings. You will also be required to work the opening two weekends of our sales periods irrespective of the roster.
There is an opportunity for real growth within the business for the person who is wanting to increase their skills in an environment that requires you to act on your feet. This growth includes stock management, margin tracking, store presentation, and working with our key wholesalers.
This is a full-time position which will include working weekends and public holidays.
