About us: Purapura Whetu is a Maori health and social service provider committed to improving tangata whaiora and their whanau wellbeing.
Guided by the Kawa of Purapura Whetu and Te Tiriti o Waitangi we ensure safe and professional practice, through clinical, cultural, and community support across our services to enhance the mana of our whanau.
The Opportunity: Purapura Whetu is excited to invite applicants to be a part of our new service we have been funded to deliver focused on reducing the harm caused by problem gambling within our whanau.
'Te Huinga Kotuku'  is the name of our service - and it speaks to our intention to create a safe, and confidential space for whanau to address problem gambling.
The roles: - 2 x Clinical Roles - 40-hour positions Clinician (2 roles available): We are looking for experienced clinicians to support service delivery.
Ideally, you will have at least 3 years' experience in a clinical role that has addressed the problem gambling behaviours of individuals.
Consideration will also be given to applicants who have worked in the mental health and addictions sector.
Preference will be given to applicants who have had experience working one-on-one, and in group settings.
As this is a newly established service, your ability to cope with the challenges associated with setting up a service is needed.
