Working in a regionally focused, multi-disciplinary team, whose primary role is the assessment and treatment of tamariki and rangatahi involved in the Youth Justice systems. Seeking an experienced Social worker, nurse, occupational therapist for this clinical role. Permanent, full time (40 hours) - Monday to Friday, based in our Greenlane Clinic Centre.
Te whiwhinga mahi The OpportunityTu Maia is a regionally focussed multi-disciplinary team whose primary role is the assessment and treatment of tamariki and rangatahi involved in the Youth Justice systems.
This role will include (but not limited to) preparing formal reports on mental health needs for the Courts and other agencies and providing short term therapies to a small number of young people.
We also provide clinical services to young people in secure residential care, and Court liaison services. Tu Maia was suitably named as the rangatahi and whanau using the service are predominantly Maori and are thought to be brave and courageous engaging in the court ordered comprehensive assessment processes whereby highly personal information is sought and shared after a very short period of engagement with the clinicians and cultural advisors.
Tu Maia is seeking a social worker, nurse, occupational therapist to join our team. This is an opportunity to be a part of a service that will support excellent clinical care into the future, as well as offering the chance to develop your existing Mental Health knowledge in an established and multidisciplinary work environment.
As a key member of this professional, dedicated team, you'll be assessing and managing the needs of service users that are referred to the service with an acute mental health presentation and increased risk.
Nga Pukenga Motuhake Important SkillsYou will be a registered Social worker, nurse, occupational therapist and have a current Annual Practising Certificate.
This role is ideal for a Social Worker who has experience and skills working with people from a range of cultural backgrounds and has worked in a Community Mental Health setting previously.
Being a confident communicator and decision maker are imperative. Strong organisational skills and a high level of time management are also required in the role.
A full and clean NZ driver licence is essential in this community based role.
