Clinical Specialist - Dementia

The role We are looking for a senior health professional to join Oceania as a Clinical Specialist for Dementia to support our clinical services nationally. In this role, you'll provide expert clinical leadership, knowledge and skill to the Clinical and Care staff to ensure the high level of care for all residents with Dementia.
Reporting to the Quality Compliance and Audit Manager, you'll be responsible for defining, developing and implementing a strategy for supporting residents with Dementia across all Oceania villages, Rest Home and Hospital and Dementia Care centres.
What you'll bring Experience as a senior health professional in caring for people with dementia in an Aged Care environment.Previous clinical experience in dementia at expert level.New Zealand Registration as a health professional with a current practicing certificate.A post-graduate tertiary qualification in dementia care, mental health or other relevant related area.Strong relationship building skills.Proven ability to train clinical staff at all levels and to communicate clinical information to non-clinical staff.Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.Understanding of the provisions of the Aged Related Residential Services Agreement and Aged Residential Hospital Specialised Services Agreement and the service standards under Section 13 of the Health and Disability Services Act, particularly NZS 8134.0-4.2008.The right to work in New Zealand essential.What we offer This belief in better means we are committed to supporting you to learn and do better, and will provide you with:
