Contract: Permanent, Full time & Part options available (Please state your desired hours in your cover letter)
Salary: Step 1-8 APEX Psychologist $83,708 - $112,058 (Depending on experience)
We are looking for clinical psychologists to work with youth aged between 13 to 17, to provide psychological assessments to the youth Court, and make recommendations for intervention for young people in CYFS's care and in the community. The successful candidate will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team to assess and diagnose people experiencing a range of issues including coexisting mental health and addiction issues. You will be required to develop sound psychological formulations based on thorough assessments.
The ideal candidate(s) will have a sound understanding of mental health and addiction in youth and the impact of these issues on clients, their whanau and the community. The work also includes some consultancy to other services and support for functioning and development of their teams and the organisation as a whole. This is an important and rewarding role and a sound knowledge of psychopathology and treatment intervention with young people is required. Good supervision will be provided both on an individual basis and as part of the multidisciplinary team review meetings.
Required: You must have a minimum of a Masters Degree in Psychology and Post graduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology or equivalent.You must be registered with the NZ Psychologist Board and have a current annual practising certificate.To find out more about us click on the following links:
