The team supports rangatahi who are engaged in offending behaviours and are experiencing emotional and/or mental health concerns.
The team provides outreach across the district working collaboratively with providers.In this Dunedin-based role, you'll manage your own caseload, and you'll be committed to delivering excellence to rangatahi and their whanau in an age-appropriate and culturally appropriate manner, liaising effectively in partnership with community agencies to support rangatahi health and wellbeing.
You will also provide reports under Section 333 when requested by Youth Court.You'll have a sound knowledge of appropriate youth-focused mental health interventions and provide specialised assessment and treatment, with a strong emphasis on family inclusion and family therapy for youth experiencing moderate to severe mental health difficulties.This is a great opportunity to join a dedicated and enthusiastic team, located in the YSS offices in Moray Place, Dunedin, right in the CBD.If you want to make a difference, possess a positive attitude, a strong sense of self-awareness and personal resilience, and relish working in the field of Youth Forensics, then we encourage you to apply.Minimum Requirements:To be considered, you must be registered with the NZ Psychologists Board with a Clinical Psychologist scope and hold a current Annual Practising Certificate.
