He Korero mo te turanga - About the RoleThe Adult Inpatient Mental Health Unit in Tauranga is seeking a permanent Clinical Psychologist. As a fully qualified and registered Psychologist, your role will include, but is not limited to:Provide appropriate, effective, and clear psychological formulations based on thorough assessmentsUse a wide range of assessment tools including psychometric testingPrepare assessments, interventions, and treatment plans clearly and objectivelyWork as an active, positive, and supportive team memberEffectively communicate with patients, whanau, and colleaguesThis is a permanent 0.7FTE position, working 56 hours per fortnight.He Korero mou - About YouYou will be part of our multidisciplinary team, committed to delivering high-quality care to our consumer group and to being part of continuous service improvement. You will also:Have a positive, can-do, and supportive attitudeExceptional communication skills (both written and verbal)Be registered as a Psychologist in NZ with demonstrated clinical competenceHave a willingness and ability to teach others and share expertise within a teamCompetency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growthIf you have experience working in an acute mental health unit, we would love to hear from you!Working for Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
