About the role We are looking for an exceptional Registered Psychologist with a special interest in ICU and experience in therapy with people with physical health difficulties and concerns.
This role will:
Provide high quality psychological services within a multi-disciplinary team within the Whangarei Intensive Care UnitProvide assessment and treatment of clients in Whangarei ICUProvide staff training / facilitation to enhance health outcomes for patients while also contributing to staff wellbeingThis is a new permanent, part-time position working 20 hours per week.There may also be option to combine this role with another psychologist role of up to 0.5FTE, within the hospital.
Key requirements Registered Psychologist with a current NZ practicing certificateComprehensive psychological assessment and treatment skillsMinimum of 12-months clinical experience working with clients with complex health needsGood time management and the ability to prioritise workloadTo be successful in this role, you will need to have working knowledge and commitment to Tikanga, a commitment to work in a culturally and ethically safe manner, and strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills.
