The details: Permanent - Full-time or part-time
Te whiwhinga mahi| The Opportunity We are looking for a clinical psychologist to join our friendly and skilled team. We are based in central Hamilton and our service users/tangata whaiora are based both locally and rurally.
Hamilton is one of New Zealand's fastest growing cities and offers top-notch dining, active outdoors and an internationally renowned Botanic Garden. It's central location makes it an ideal springboard for beaches, lakes and mountains.
You will receive excellent support and collegiality with our established group of clinical psychologists, engaged clinical leadership and stable line management. We are looking for psychologists who enjoy applying their skills with a wide range of significant and severe psychological disorders, who enjoy the support of a full multi-disciplinary team but also appreciate a good degree of independence. We have good links with the local university training programme and promote opportunities to engage with training and supervision.
For this role we are looking for someone who is can provide specialised psychological assessment and provide therapy to child and adolescent and their whanau.

Registered in a Clinical scope with the NZ Psychology Board Current Annual Practising Certificate with the NZPB, or eligibility to obtain ICAMHS experience is preferred but not essential Commitment or willingness to learn about Tiriti o Waitangi Sound skills in mental health assessment, treatment and safety planning Experience or willingness to train within a DBT and/or FBT framework A full driver's licence with no limitations You have superior communication and organisational skills with a commitment to work collaboratively in a large, dynamic multidisciplinary team. We provide specialist services for infants, children/tamariki and adolescents/rangatahi who are experiencing serious mental health challenges. There is a strong emphasis on family/ whanau involvement in their recovery journey. We have established treatment pathways which include Acute and crisis response, Eating disorders, DBT, Infant mental health and Group programmes. As a community-based service, we are open Monday to Friday during office hours.
