Clinical Psychologist - Adult Mental HealthInvercargill Community Mental Health teamSouthland HospitalSalary $85,000 - $130,000, KiwisaverPermanent, full-time position (40 hours per week)Ours is an innovative service, working with an integrated model of care across community and inpatient settings. We are invested in developing our model of delivery towards increasing access to psychological therapies. Our staff are motivated people wanting to provide optimal treatment via thorough assessment and continued MDT co-ordination of treatment.Mo te turanga - About the roleThis adult mental health role combines assessment and therapy for people experiencing moderate to severe psychological distress. The Clinical Psychologist is an integral and valued member of the multidisciplinary team responsible for the provision of patient-centred interventions.You will provide a wide range of psychological services including risk assessment, diagnostics and testing, formulation and treatment planning, along with therapy.You will work closely with consumers, family/whanau and community groups in a supportive, educational and clinical role that is firmly based upon the mental health recovery principles.You'll be part of a multidisciplinary team that ensures we provide our clients with assertive follow-up by maintaining contact with individuals through a key worker/case manager system. You will be a motivated individual, keen to make a difference and who thrives in a busy and diverse working environment. You will possess excellent communication, time management and team working skills and will be able to work well under pressure and stressful situations.
