Clinical Psychologist - Adult Inpatient Service at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty, Bay of Plenty Tauranga Hospital is currently seeking a full-time, permanent Clinical Psychologist to join the team in the Adult Inpatient Mental Health unit.
As a fully qualified and registered Psychologist your role will include, but is not limited to:
Provide appropriate, effective, and clear psychological formulations based on thorough assessments Use of a wide range of assessment tools including psychometric testing Prepare assessments and interventions and treatment plans clearly and objectively Works as an active, positive, and supportive team member Effectively communicate with patients, whanau, and colleagues This role will be working in Te Whare Maiangiangi, our Adult Inpatient Unit at Tauranga hospital, where our clients are aged 18 - 65. The team consists of experienced multi-disciplines, including nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, psychologist, psychiatrists, pharmacist, physiotherapist, and Pou Kokiri cultural advisor.

The preferred candidate will be passionate and committed to providing Tangata Whai Ora focused care. The ability to work as an effective team member and demonstrate strong communication is essential to this position.You will be part of our multidisciplinary team, committed to delivering high quality care to our consumer group and to be part of continuous service improvement. You will also:
have a positive, can do and supportive attitude exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal) Registered as a Psychologist in NZ with demonstrated clinical competence A willingness and ability to teach others and share expertise within a team If you have experience of working in an acute mental health unit, we would love to hear from you!
