Korero mo te turanga - About the roleTe Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting three Clinical Practice Advisers (Senior/Consultant Clinical Psychologist) to join the Clinical Psychology team in Te Kura Matai Hinengaro - School of Psychology, on a permanent, part-time basis.
In this role you will be responsible for working in the Psychology Clinic, providing supervision and instruction to students.Key responsibilities:Provide some direct supervision to clinical psychology students in the Victoria Psychology ClinicSupport the development and delivery of teaching activities related to the Clinical Programme including in the area of matauranga Maori and bicultural practiceProvide direct clinical services of the highest standard to clients, including but not limited to: Comprehensive assessment and treatment planningCrisis intervention services and referral as neededEvidence-based interventionsConsultation with other health care providers as clinically indicatedMaintenance of clinical records which meet professional and clinic standards O pumanawa - About youYou will be an experienced Clinical Psychologist with experience working in Aotearoa.
You will be passionate about investing in the future of our profession and enjoy supervising, teaching, and working in an intellectually stimulating environment.Your training and work experience will be from a predominantly behavioural/cognitive-behavioural/"third-wave" approach.
You will bring your competency and knowledge of Te Ao Maori, matauranga Maori in the context of psychology, and Maori models of care to this position to assist the programme to further develop in this area.
