About MIT
Established in 1970, Manukau Institute of Technology (MIT) (Te Whare Takiura o Manukau) has been serving akonga, students and the communities of South Auckland for over fifty years. MIT is a Business Division of Te Pukenga, bringing together on-the-job, campus and online vocational education. Together with 16 Institutes of Technology and Polytechnics and 9 Industry Training Organisations, our purpose is learning with purpose, helping New Zealand move to a vocational education system that puts akonga, learners at the centre. We are on a journey and this role is crucial to that journey.
About the role
As a Clinical Operations Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of quality clinical/practice experiences for students of the Faculty of Nursing and Health Studies. Your responsibilities will include negotiating placements, coordinating activities, evaluating placements, recording/reporting, roster preparation, and providing administration support for operational activities of the Faculty.
You will need to be self-motivated with a positive attitude, have excellent communication, organisational and time management skills, and enjoy working with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
Culture:
At MIT you will work with some incredible people who are passionate about the positive impact we make to the communities we serve. We offer a work environment that values genuine people who care for others, are well-connected, open and approachable, and strive for excellence in all we do. If you are excited by the role and feel you would fit well into our organisation, we would like to hear from you.
"Kua herea matou ki te whai i te tuturutanga o Te Tiriti O Waitangi." We are committed to creating and maintaining a culturally sensitive work environment in relation to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
MIT is committed to ensuring our workforce reflects the diversity of our akonga (students) and the rich cultures represented within the local community we serve. We know how important it is for our akonga and kaimahi (staff) to have their culture and values reflected in our way of working and in the people we recruit. To support this, MIT seeks to grow the number of Maori and Pasifika kaimahi across our Institute and gives recognition to applicants who demonstrate Maori and/or Pasifika cultural knowledge and skills.
