Job Title: Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) - Respiratory

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) - Respiratory, you will:
Act as an expert practitioner, consultant, and leader in respiratory care.
Deliver evidence-based nursing interventions to optimize patient outcomes.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care across various settings.
Lead initiatives in quality improvement, research, and clinical innovation.
Educate and mentor nursing and allied health colleagues to enhance clinical competencies.
Participate in developing policies, standards, and guidelines for best practice.
About the Team/Service/Location:
The Clinical Nurse Specialist is a highly trained Registered Nurse and recognized member of the interprofessional team located in the Central Region (Greymouth). This role is responsible for providing a range of holistic services across the age continuum within the community setting; enabling excellence in rural health outcomes in alignment with Health New Zealand - Te Tai o Poutini's vision and values.
About You:
Qualifications and Skills:
Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a valid practicing certificate.
At least 5 years of experience in respiratory care or a relevant senior nursing role.
Advanced nursing skills and demonstrated leadership capabilities.
Strong communication, organizational, and IT skills.
A postgraduate qualification or active enrollment in a relevant program.
Working towards or completed a Clinical Master's degree.
Proven involvement in research or quality initiatives that have influenced practice.
