Clinical Nurse Specialist - Wahi Tautoko (Adult Inpatient Group) Company: New Zealand Government Job Type: Full Time Location: Christchurch, Canterbury Number of Applicants: 000+ Job Description This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday. This clinical leadership role is for an experienced registered nurse in Mental Health. Key Responsibilities: Provision of a safe and supportive environment to provide extended assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation following an admission to the adult acute service. Teaching skills to help support illness management and to support consumers to live the life they want to live. Support the development of structure and meaningful routines. Support safe discharge into a community setting. Assist with performance appraisals, auditing, quality improvement, and providing overall clinical expertise and mentorship within the team. Minimum Requirements: At least 3 years recent experience in an adult inpatient unit. Hold or have commenced the post-graduate pathway with a focus on nursing. Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with current APC with a mental health scope of practice. Excellent communication and time management skills. Adherence to guidelines of Cultural Safety and the Treaty of Waitangi.
