About the roleAn exciting opportunity has become available to work as a Nurse Practitioner or Clinical Nurse Specialist/Outreach Nurse on the pathway to Nurse Practitioner to join our passionate and multi-disciplinary team at the Emergency Department in Taupo Hospital.
Providing specialist nursing care and expertise within the Emergency Department, along with providing an outreach nursing service for Taupo Hospitals Inpatient Unit and Birthing Unit through guidance, direction, assistance, and clinical expertise.
Facilitating multidisciplinary care for complex presentations to the Emergency Department.
0.5 FTE, hours of work will be rostered shifts Monday – Sunday.

Advanced nursing knowledge to conduct patient assessment, care and management.Clinical Leadership, able to undertake coaching and teaching.Registered Nurse with a current Nursing Council of New Zealand practicing certificate.Post Graduate Diploma in Nursing inclusive of an assessment and bioscience paper.Recent hospital clinical practice – minimum of 3 years Emergency Department experience.Worked as Emergency CNS.Working towards Nurse Practitioner Scope of practice.Has or working towards Masters in Nursing.Has experience in leadership.Has experience in Rural Emergency Department.Has experience with neonates.Salary range$116,040 to $127,674 (CNS) pro-rated to hours worked.
$136,815 to $162,802 (NP) pro-rated to hours worked.
