Clinical Nurse Specialist Ophthmalogy- Module 6 Manukau Health Park Full time permanent position available Te Whatu Ora Counties Manukau is a progressive organisation at the forefront of innovative health delivery, working with New Zealand's most culturally diverse populations.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced registered or senior nurse to join our Ophthalmology Outpatient Service as the Clinical Nurse Specialist.
If you already have ophthalmology experience and ready to take that next step this may be the opportunity for you.
We are seeking a dynamic, motivated nurse with strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
You will be competent with providing clinical review and management of ophthalmology patients, and work together with the multidisciplinary team to ensure appropriate, safe and timely care is received by the patient.
In addition to this you will also provide support, clinical guidance and advice to other healthcare professionals e.g.
nursing, technical and medical colleagues, relating to the complex needs of patients, and their families/whaanau with ophthalmic conditions.
You will be required to manage your own regular stable Glaucoma and stable Diabetic patient load as well as developing and introducing nurse led Intravitreal Injection clinics and cross-liking service based on evidence based practice standards.
This role is based at Manukau Health Park and has a direct report to the Service Manager, Ophthalmology and Retinal Screening Services, SAPS (Surgery, Anaesthesia and Perioperative Services).
