About the role We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Senior Nurse who is looking to join our Infection and Prevention Control Services within the Nursing and Midwifery Directorate. The Clinical Nurse Specialist will work with specific population groups and their whanau, as part of a multidisciplinary team across the services in Te Whatu Ora Te Tai Tokerau The Clinical Nurse Specialist is an advanced nursing practice role and is responsible for providing specialist nursing care and/or coordination of care to a specific patient/client population across healthcare settings. We are seeking an Infection Prevention and Control Clinical Nurse Specialist for a permanent 40 hours per week, full time position. This position is based in Whangarei. Key Requirements Registered Nurse with a current Practicing Certificate Postgraduate Diploma preferably in specialty nursing practice Expert or designated senior nurse level PDRP Knowledge of quality improvement processes and principles Strategic planning, policy development skills and project management experience are desirable.
