Through integration and collaboration, we're building a health system underpinned by partnership, equity, sustainability, whanau-centred care, and excellence.About the Role:The Specialist Diabetes Service at Hawkes Bay Fallen Soldiers Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse with expertise in diabetes care. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide diabetes services across the Hawkes Bay region, including Central Hawke's Bay and Wairoa. This role offers the chance to work in various settings, engaging in a collaborative model of care to support people with diabetes in our community.About the Team/Service/ Location:Our Specialist Diabetes Service is committed to providing expert care to people with diabetes throughout the Hawkes Bay region. We work closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered support, ensuring that our services meet the diverse needs of the community. The team is dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment, upholding the values of Te Whatu Ora and promoting equitable healthcare outcomes for all.About You:Level 4 competency on the National Diabetes Nursing Knowledge and Skills Framework, with a strong understanding of diabetes care.A minimum of 2 years of relevant post-graduate clinical experience, alongside a current Annual Practicing Certificate.Postgraduate qualification (preferably a PG Diploma) and working towards a Clinical Master's degree.Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.Working for Health New Zealand:Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
