Clinical Nurse Manager | Specialist Mental Health Inpatient Unit Permanent, full-time Clinical Nurse Manager, Specialist Mental Health Inpatient Unit Expert leadership and management knowledge with excellent clinical skills Te Whatu Ora, Te Tai o Poutini West Coast, is situated on the West Coast of New Zealand's South Island.

The Manaakitanga Inpatient Unit is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager to join their team.
This role provides coordination and guidance in relation to nursing management practices by enabling and supporting operational and strategic organisational goals for the Mental Health Inpatient Unit at Te Nikau Hospital.

You will ensure that all nursing practice is safe, legal, effective, and consumer-focused.
Understands and applies the principles of quality management and continuous service improvement.
Demonstrates effective management of complaints, incidents, and hazards as per our policies and procedures.
Registered with the New Zealand Nursing Council, with the scope to practice within Mental Health, and hold a current Annual Practising Certificate.
Hold a post-graduate nursing and management qualification or be working towards this.
Demonstrate the ability to develop and implement a nursing care delivery system.
Minimum of 3 years post-registration experience with recognised clinical experience and expertise.
A commitment to staff and relevant professional development.
Excellent interpersonal skills including communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution across all disciplines and occupational groups.
Understanding of financial management in an operational area.
Understand the national direction for the Health Quality Safety Commission's projects for Zero Seclusion and Connecting Care.
You will hold a clean & full driver's licence as you will be traveling in Te Whatu Ora Te Tai o Poutini West Coast vehicles.
