Due to an internal promotion, we are seeking a dynamic, experienced healthcare professional to join our Nurse Maude Care Home in the position of Clinical Nurse Manager, to provide support, leadership, and mentorship to the clinical, care and allied health team.
Based in central Merivale, Christchurch, this is a permanent full-time position, to be normally worked Monday-Friday, with some participation in the weekend and on-call roster.
The successful applicant will work alongside the Service manager and a strong clinical team to ensure quality nursing care is delivered to the residents of Nurse Maude Care home.
He momo/About you To be successful in this role you will have: A minimum of 5 years' New Zealand nursing experience.
At least two years' experience in a leadership or clinical management / charge nurse position with care of the older adult, or aged residential care.
A current APC with no restrictions.
The ability and commitment to coach, mentor and share knowledge with your team.
An in-depth understanding of healthcare legislations, regulations and accreditation processes.
Comprehensive knowledge of continuous improvement and quality systems, with proven experience and success in the implementation processes.
Excellent communication skills that are empathetic and professional.
Excellent time management skills and a keen eye for detail.
Strong relationship building skills, with a desire to build meaningful, professional relationships with our staff, our residents and their families / Whanau.
The ability to work well in a team, and collaboratively with the Service Manager.
Professional and clinical accountability.
A Post-Graduate Diploma or Masters in Older Persons Population Health, Gerontology, Chronic Health Conditions, or similar is preferred, but not required.
