Clinical Nurse Manager - Coronary Care UnitWe are excited to be able to offer the position of Clinical Nurse Manager – Coronary Care Unit (CCU) at Tauranga Hospital. We are building a new CCU ready to open in 2025. Once opened, the CCU will separate from the existing combined ICU/CCU and be its own entity. The CCU facility will have a total of 20 beds and will be supported by an Associate Clinical Nurse Manager.This role enables quality outcomes for Tangata Whaiora and ensures that departmental standards and care delivery align with Te Whatu Ora – Health New Zealand standards and contemporary coronary care service and practice. The role will contribute to and enable achievement of Te Pae Tata (Interim New Zealand Health Plan 2022).This role involves working with a multi-disciplinary clinical team and liaising with other services that interface with coronary care services.You will be arriving at a time of change, as over a period of 18 months beginning in early 2024, we will be building the new coronary care unit facility and building additional beds for the existing intensive care and high dependency facility.Initially, in this new position, you will focus your time on contributing to the building of the new facility and planning relocation, recruitment, policy development, and recruitment to the nursing team. You will work in a partnership model with an existing Clinical Nurse Manager – ICU/HDU. A high level of collaboration and communication will be required until the Units are finally separated in mid-2025.This is a rare opportunity to lead a dedicated team in a period of substantial change.
