He Korero mo te turanga - About the Role We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Registered Nurse to join the Paediatric ward at Tauranga Hospital. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated leader to inspire and guide a committed team, while driving positive clinical outcomes and improving patient care.
With the upcoming retirement of our Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM), we are looking for a proven nurse leader with vision and the drive to manage our 22-bed inpatient ward, which offers both acute medical and surgical services. The ward also includes a Child Assessment Unit (CAU) and a Paediatric Day Stay Unit.
He Korero mou - About You You will be a dynamic leader, a strong problem solver, and a critical thinker with the following desirable qualities:
Experience in acute paediatric hospital nursing is desirable. Demonstrated experience and success as a Nurse Coordinator, Leader, or Manager. Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to support patients, whanau, and staff, while building strong relationships with stakeholders. Passionate about leveraging team strengths to foster collaboration, resilience, and excellence in care. An intention for ensuring an operationally safe and evidenced based practice environment in partnership with patients and Whanau to achieve their health goals. Experience in change management is desirable to continue a review of the model of care. A strong commitment to collaborating with Maori to address service inequities. Demonstrate an understanding of business ethic and leadership.
