Clinical Nurse Lead role. With an extraordinary difference!Masonic Care is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Clinical Lead at our newest facility at Eileen Mary in Dannevirke. Working closely with the Facility Manager, you will oversee the team of Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants, ensuring that the needs of the residents are met through the delivery of safe, holistic, and professional nursing care. The Clinical Manager provides expert advice on the planning and implementation of care plans and proactively communicates with residents and their families, general practitioners, and other health professionals.Responsibilities:Lead and support the team to deliver a level of care consistent with Masonic values.Lead and drive the culture of the facility, creating positive customer/resident experiences and support.Ensure provision of nursing care consistent with NCNZ competencies for Registered Nurses and the Nursing Council 'domains', including personally delivering care and providing guidance or direction to other care staff, and ensuring Interrai assessments are completed and comprehensive care plans are in place.Provide direction to all care centre staff adherence to NCP and support appropriate clinical decisions, including recognition of when it is appropriate to seek additional clinical input.Maintain effective relationships with residents, their families, and other stakeholders, including being the primary point of contact for unforeseen and/or difficult situations.Plan and coordinate audits, implementation of policy changes, and liaison with NASC, DHB, and other relevant external agencies.Ensure RNs have the ability to coordinate the response to a specific incident if on duty and make any decision required in your absence. On certain shifts, the RN will be the most senior person on site and have responsibility for making any decisions in the facility.Role model of nursing professional, educational, and preceptorship behaviours. Mentor and coach Care Centre staff, ensuring they are motivated, skilled, and safe.Maintain own competence and professional development, consistent with NCNZ PDRP requirements (as at the document date, this includes 60 hours of training every three years).Ensure NCP plans are developed with input from the resident and their family, maximizing their independence and self-help abilities, including their support networks, and taking into account their physical, mental, social, and spiritual needs.Design and implement quality improvement programmes for the facility.About you:To be successful in this role, you will have:A New Zealand nursing registration, with current practising certificate with the Nursing Council of New Zealand, with at least 3 years clinical experience; previous clinical management or team lead experience is a definite plus but not essential.Special interest and experience in the care of the elderly.The ability to work very well and collaborate with a diverse team.The ability to relate and communicate well with residents and staff of varying ethnic groups.A strong sense of responsibility, accountability, and initiative, along with the ability to cope well with change.Good leadership skills, including the ability to delegate fairly.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.Good physical fitness.Applications will be reviewed as they are received, and interviews may take place prior to the close date.
