North Harbour Hospital has 8 Operating Rooms, a 14 bed Post Anaesthetic Care Unit, a modern well-equipped day stay facility unit and a 70-bed ward which includes a 4-bed intermediate care facility (ICF).
Surgical specialities include General Surgery, Gynaecology, Oral & Maxillofacial surgery, Urology, Orthopaedic surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive surgery, Urology, Otolaryngology and Robotic Surgery.
Southern Cross North Harbour Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Leader to join their dynamic, professional, and highly motivated team on the ward.
We have a permanent 0.9 FTE Clinical Nurse Leader position available working rostered shifts within a rotating schedule.
You will be working with an experienced team of Clinical Nurse Leaders and as such we require a "positive, can-do attitude", have excellent management and communication skills, have an optimistic perspective and be adaptable and responsive to the changing needs of the business.
Minimum Requirements: To be a NZ registered Nurse with a current Practicing Certificate applicable to working in a surgical setting.
Recent 5 years of relevant, post graduate experience in a surgical setting with experience in a leadership role.
At least a current level four (expert) PDRP.
Proven ability of being able to work cooperatively within a multi-disciplinary team.
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with patient, staff, and other health care professionals.
Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage staff and resource allocation efficiently.
Advanced clinical knowledge and assessment skills in a surgical setting.
Demonstrated ability to oversee clinical and operational issues affecting the ward.
