About the Role
Hauora a Toi – Bay of Plenty are offering an experienced Senior Nurse the opportunity to take on a crucial role as a Clinical Nurse Coordinator, supporting the integration of two wards into a newly established 36-40 bed Medical ward based at Tauranga hospital. In this dynamic leadership role, you will foster a high-performing team, ensuring operational safety, evidence-based practices, and a culture of excellence.
As a Senior nursing leader, you will coordinate a team of dedicated professionals who excel in delivering exceptional patient care while supporting the growth of students and new graduate nurses. You will play a key role in managing patient flow, enhancing collaboration, and driving resilience in a positive and efficient workplace culture.

The newly integrated medical ward combines the expertise of two established teams to deliver exceptional care to a diverse range of patients with acute and complex medical needs. About You
We are seeking a dynamic, forward-thinking leader with a passion for empowering teams and delivering exceptional care. You will bring innovation, operational expertise, and a strong focus on developing individuals and fostering collaboration.
Proven experience as a Nurse Coordinator, Leader, or Manager.
Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills to support patients, whanau, and staff.
Commitment to operational safety, evidence-based care, and achieving health goals.
Change management experience to refine and enhance models of care (preferred).
Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
