There are 12 self-contained, fully equipped labour and birthing rooms, and an operative theatre onsite. The antenatal and postnatal ward has 26 resourced beds. The team includes midwives, obstetric medical doctors, anaesthetists, healthcare assistants, administration officers and cleaners. In our fast-paced environment we have to work closely together to get the best results for those we are caring for.There are two CMM roles available: one permanent 0.75 fte, part-time position and the other 0.75 fte fixed term for ACC cover. The requirement is for 12 hour rotating shifts. This position will work across the floor – both in birthing suite and 4North Maternity.The Clinical Midwife Manager (CMM) role is a critical supporting leadership role. The CMM will be expected to provide leadership and senior clinical midwifery support to the Midwife Manager and the midwifery team in the implementation of organisational initiatives and day-to-day management of all midwifery areas (people, process, and physical resources) to ensure a safe patient journey within the area of responsibility.This position requires clinical expertise, a minimum of 5 years midwifery practice across the full scope of midwifery practice in the primary, secondary & tertiary setting.
