Clinical Midwife Specialist (Tamaki & Ward 98) - Full time or part time

If you have a passion and specialist interest in primary birthing, postnatal care, and care of late preterm infants at Te Toka Tumai, then this is an excellent opportunity for you to shine and help make a difference for our whanau.
As a Midwife Specialist, you will be: Supporting and guiding our midwifery and nursing staff across our inpatient areas. Overseeing the management and care planning specific for these whanau. This role is fundamental to the implementation of our new Transitional Care Hub (TCH) based on Ward 96. The TCH provides care for babies needing specialist support, including those transitioning from NICU towards discharge home, and late preterm babies needing expert support in breastfeeding.
This role will also be based on Tamaki, which is currently a postnatal and antenatal unit. As a Midwife Specialist, you will support the new model of care and the future development of a primary birthing area.

Nga Pukenga Motuhake - Important Skills We are looking for midwives with extensive knowledge and experience in primary birthing, postnatal care, care of late preterm infants, and care planning for these whanau.
