Clinical Manager - CAF North | Hillmorton Hospital Clinical leadership position, requiring a minimum of 5 years experience in mental health.
You will either hold or be working towards a relevant postgraduate qualification.
Mo te tunga | About the role The CAF North Community Mental Health team provides assessment and treatment services for under-18-year-old consumers with major mental illnesses.
The team is multi-disciplinary and serves approximately 320 consumers across the North area of Christchurch and surrounding districts.
This role interfaces closely with the Nga Kakano inpatient team and other CAF services to provide care for consumers and their families/whanau.
Pehea | About You We seek an enthusiastic, experienced, dynamic Senior Registered Nurse or Allied Health professional who could see themselves leading the Child, Adolescent and Family Service, North Community Mental Health team, based at Sylvan Street, Hillmorton.
This key position involves managing the operational and clinical functions of a community mental health team.
It involves working in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team and being part of the Child, Adolescent and Family Service; therefore, you will have excellent clinical skills as well as an ability to ensure financial and operational objectives are carried out in line with the Specialist Mental Health Te Whatu Ora vision.
As (1.0 FTE) this position is an opportunity to work both in management and have clinical input.
Ideally you will have an extensive mental health background, with past experience of team management in a multidisciplinary team setting preferred.
In this role, you will: Facilitate and provide high quality professional practice and provide expert leadership within our service.
Demonstrate excellent communication and team management skills.
Coordinate the functioning of staff on a daily basis, including developing and maintaining systems to provide quality and continuity of consumer care.
Ensure success and development meetings are completed, training needs are identified, and educational and development opportunities are recognised.
Demonstrate an ability to work in an integrated and collaborative manner with our inpatient teams and across the wider mental health system.
