We are looking for an experienced people leader to anchor Te Kaupapa for Papakura Marae. We are also seeking a mental health and/or addictions practitioner to join Te Kaupapa.
We are seeking a passionate Clinical leader, who is in turn, searching for a new team to inspire and grow. You will bring a wealth of leadership skills and insights, and won't be afraid to serve whanau in mental health and addictions. The successful candidate will work within The Kaupapa team, with whanau in the community to provide wellness, mental health and addictions support. We have a dedicated and caring team of 5, who are genuine in serving whanau experiencing distress and trauma that impact their wellbeing.
About Te Kaupapa Te Kaupapa is an indigenous, Matauranga Maori approach to improving mental distress and addictions within the community. The model of care aims to centre therapeutic methods on matauranga Maori, particularly ancestral practises such as karakia, pure and oro.
You will be confident working within a mental health and addictions space, with an implemented kaupapa Maori framework that seeks to deliver authentic indigenous healing practises and shift the current model of care. You will bring depth from your profession into our team, and intersect your skills and experiences with the model of Te Kaupapa. You will be excited about transformational change, and implementing strengths-based approaches to managing and supporting whanau.
The Role We are casting the net across a vast set of skills and practitioners. We are looking for the following:
Clinical Manager - clinical leadership experience within a health organisation, preferred experience in mental health and/or addictionsNurse who is fully registered under the HPCA with a scope of practice appropriate to working in mental health, addiction, psychotherapy, psychology and occupational therapyRegistered alcohol and drug and/or gambling practitioner, who is a member of the Addition Practitioners' Association Aotearoa A registered social worker or counsellor accredited by NZAC to work within the mental health and addictions services scope of practiceThe Organisation - About Papakura Marae We are a multidisciplinary organisation working across different sectors to improve the wellbeing of whanau in our community.
