The Clinical Manager role at Elmswood Retirement Village is both exciting and challenging, providing an opportunity to drive clinical leadership across Elmswood and Fendalton Village Care Centres. You will be based at Elmswood within a modern and refurbished environment. This position offers the perfect mix of hands-on leadership, clinical expertise, and the ability to shape the next phase of Elmswood Village development.
Role Overview
Village: privately owned, 25 hospital-level beds, 31 apartments offering care services and rest home level care, and 66 independent villas. The role also supports the clinical team at our sister village, Fendalton, with 40 rest home beds.
Hands-on Leadership: Reporting directly to the Village Manager, you will ensure excellence in clinical care and adherence to policies, while actively shaping the future direction of the village.
Team Atmosphere: You will be joining a fully engaged, supportive team in a positive and flexible work environment.
Technology: Use of 1Chart for medication and VCare for resident management.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and inspire the clinical team across Elmswood and Fendalton Villages
Ensure high-quality, resident-centred care is consistently delivered
Foster a collaborative environment where both staff and residents are supported
Maintain clinical quality and compliance with policies and procedures.
Qualification and Skills:
3+ years of leadership experience in NZ aged care
NZ Registered Nurse with a current APC and palliative care expertise
Strong clinical background, exceptional leadership qualities, and the ability to inspire and motivate a team
A talent for building rapport with residents, families, and your team
Confidence in using clinical software, with experience in 1Chart and VCare being a plus
