Clinical Leader - BOP Addictions ServiceThe Bay of Plenty Addiction Service is seeking to recruit a Registered Health Practitioner to the Clinical Lead position with the team.This is a leadership role and involves providing clinical advice and guidance to other staff within the team, overseeing referrals into the service, and being a point of contact with other services within the mental health and addictions sector. You will also hold a small case load of whaiora who require case management support for substance use.Based at Tauranga hospital, we are a regional service that is part of the Adult Community Mental Health Services and we cover both the Eastern and Western Bay of Plenty. The Bay of Plenty Addiction Service comprises an Opioid Substitution Treatment Service, an Alcohol and Other Drugs Team, and a small forensic team based at Corrections and the Tauranga Court. We offer our services in a variety of settings, including at satellite services and in the client's home. The service operates Monday to Friday during office hours.Our Addictions service is a multidisciplinary team of Registered Health Professionals, Psychology, Psychiatry, Administrative Support and Leadership staff. We have a learning and supportive culture within the team, which leads to opportunities for growth and empowerment for individual staff members and the service.This position is open to Registered Nurses, Social Workers, and Occupational Therapists and DAPAANZ-registered clinicians.We are looking for a team player, but also someone who is comfortable working autonomously. You will have sound problem-solving skills, be able to make decisions which are client-centred and informed by risk, and be able to formulate treatment plans with the clinicians in the team. You will have good verbal and written communication skills.You will be highly-skilled with regard to managing co-existing problems, and will have a minimum 3 years' post-registration experience working in an addiction treatment service.
