We are passionate about providing a service that enhances the mana of whanau through whakapapa korero (learning pathways) and the sharing of taonga tuku iho (gifts handed down through whanau).We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse who wants to play an important and impactful role in supporting whanau and pepi in the First 2000 days of their lives.The key purpose of this role is to provide clinical oversight to the team, as well as provide clinical support to whanau actively engaged with the Pumotomoto service, both in 1-1 and group settings.
You will be leading the clinical aspects of the Pumotomoto, supporting whanau to increase their overall wellbeing and empowering them to make positive changes to achieve their goals for a healthier life.
The role as Clinical Lead (Kaihaumanu) guides the team, as well as working with tangata whaiora, whanau and making a positive change in their lives.Nga kawenga matua o te mahi – key responsibilities of the roleBuild trusting relationships with whanauBe confident in leading clinical group work and therapeutic programmesProvide clinical leadership and oversight to Pumotomoto teamActively participate in programme development and deliveryWork with whanau and tamariki of all ethnicities, with high levels of professionalismBe personable and culturally responsiveUse your nursing knowledge and complex nursing judgement to assess health needs and provide care, and to advise and support whanau to manage their healthWork both independently and collaboratively with other health professionals across the service, including kaitautoko and cliniciansEnsure compliance with all health and safety policies and procedures as they relate to the provision of Te Oriori and Pumotomoto servicesMinimum Requirements:Registered Nurse with 5+ years experience working in New Zealand (preferable)Hold a current practicing certificatePublic Health education knowledge and skillsExperience and passion working with whanau and pepi (child health)The application form and Job Description can be found on our website: www.pw.maori.nz/job-vacanciesApplications will be assessed as they are received.Your application will include the following questions:How many years' experience do you have as a Clinical Lead?Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand?How many years' experience do you have as a nurse?
