Clinical Dietitian| Diabetes Education Program Insulin Dose Adjustment/Certified Diabetes Educator - Nelson AND Castlegar, B.C.
We are seeking a Permanent Part Time Clinical Dietitian| Diabetes Education Program Insulin Dose Adjustment/Certified Diabetes Educator in Nelson, B.C.
This position includes two worksites.
Primary home work site: Kootenay Lake Hospital Diabetes Center in Nelson.
Second home work site: Castlegar District Hospital Diabetes Center in Castlegar.
Days of work: Days, Castlegar: Tuesdays, alternating Thursdays 08:30-16:30; Nelson: Wednesdays, Fridays 08:30-16:30, alternating Thursdays 09:30-17:30.
With this opportunity comes with eligibility to apply for reimbursement of registration or membership fees through the Health Sciences Association.
Qualifications • Baccalaureate degree in nutrition and dietetics.
• Successful completion of an accredited hospital based dietetic internship program (or equivalent acceptable to the facility).
• Registrant of the College of Dietitians of British Columbia.
• Two (2) years of clinical nutrition experience including one (1) year working with Diabetes clients in a health care environment, or an equivalent combination of education, experience and/or training suitable to the facility or program is required.
• Insulin Dose Adjustment (IDA) Competency, or Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) or completion of the Diabetes Educator Certificate Program from Michener Institute.
• Valid BC Driver's License as required.
